Use the closeout link
Finish a job without a phone call. Send the customer a single closeout link and they confirm payment, sign sign-off, and (optionally) leave a review, all from their phone. The invoice is emailed automatically.
What it does
The closeout link is the single customer-facing flow that wraps a job up: invoice breakdown, payment choice, e-signature for sign-off, and an optional review. It replaces the awkward "can you pay now? did you get my invoice?" conversation at the door.
Everything signed and any mid-job variations are rolled into the breakdown automatically.
What the customer sees
On the closeout page they see, in order:
- The invoice breakdown (subtotal, discount, VAT, CIS, total, plus any authorised mid-job variations)
- How they want to handle payment (pay now via Stripe, already paid, "I will pay shortly", or "Please send me payment details")
- Their invoice email address (pulled from the booking, editable)
- A signature pad to confirm the work is complete
- An optional review step (with the option to also leave a Google review)
Before you start
You will need a TradeBooked account on the Pro or Autopilot plan. If you want the "Pay now" option, you also need Stripe connected (see "Connect Stripe to take deposits").
Setup steps are in your dashboard
This is a Pro feature. Sign in on a Pro plan to see the step-by-step setup for your number.
Common questions
What if the customer cannot use their phone?
You can hand them your phone and let them complete the flow there. The page tells them this is fine.
Do they have to pay through the link?
No. They can pay now (via Stripe), say they already paid, choose "I will pay shortly", or ask for payment details. You set what flows where.
Are job photos shown on the closeout page?
Yes, your tagged Before / After / General photos appear on the closeout page for the customer. See "Add job photos and before/after tags".
What plan do I need?
The closeout link is on the Pro and Autopilot plans. SMS delivery of the link is on Autopilot.
