This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies TradeBooked uses, why we use them, and how you can manage your preferences. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy at tradebooked.co.uk/privacy. Effective date: 6 April 2026 1. WHAT ARE COOKIES? Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website when you visit it. They are widely used to make websites work, to remember your preferences, and to provide information to site owners. Cookies are not programs and cannot run code or deliver viruses. In addition to cookies, we may use related technologies such as local storage and session storage to perform similar functions. This policy covers all such technologies. 2. COOKIES WE USE We use two categories of cookies: essential and analytics. ESSENTIAL COOKIES Essential cookies are necessary for the TradeBooked platform to function. They cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality such as logging in or submitting forms. We do not require your consent to set essential cookies. Essential cookies we set: - next-auth.session-token — Keeps you logged in to your TradeBooked account. Duration: 7 days. - next-auth.csrf-token — Protects forms from cross-site request forgery attacks. Duration: Session. - next-auth.callback-url — Remembers where to redirect after login. Duration: Session. - tb_cookie_consent — Stores your analytics cookie preference so we do not ask again. Duration: 180 days. Note: On secure connections, NextAuth session cookies are prefixed with __Secure- (e.g. __Secure-next-auth.session-token). ANALYTICS COOKIES Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use TradeBooked — for example, which pages are most visited and where visitors come from. This helps us improve the platform. We only set analytics cookies if you accept them via our cookie banner. Analytics cookies we set (with consent only): - _ga — Google Analytics. Distinguishes unique visitors to measure site traffic. Duration: 2 years. - _ga_DQLPL7WS9C — Google Analytics. Maintains session state for this specific property. Duration: 2 years. Google Analytics data is processed by Google in the United States under appropriate data transfer safeguards. We use Google Analytics in aggregate only — we do not use it to identify individual users or for advertising targeting. More information: policies.google.com/privacy. INFRASTRUCTURE AND ERROR MONITORING We use Vercel Analytics to collect anonymised performance metrics (such as page load times and Core Web Vitals) at the infrastructure level. This data does not identify individuals and does not require a cookie or your consent. We use Sentry for error monitoring. If an error occurs while you use the platform, Sentry may capture technical context such as a browser type, URL, and anonymised session identifier to help us diagnose and fix the issue. Sentry is a processor acting under our instructions and does not use this data for its own purposes. 3. COOKIES ON BOOKING PAGES When a customer visits a tradesperson's public booking page (e.g. tradebooked.co.uk/book/[business]), the same essential cookies described above may be set for security purposes. No account login is required to make a booking, so no session cookie is set for customers. Booking pages display a notice that essential cookies are in use for security. If analytics cookies have been accepted on the main site, Google Analytics may also run on booking pages. 4. MANAGING YOUR COOKIE PREFERENCES When you visit TradeBooked for the first time, you will see a cookie banner offering the option to accept or reject analytics cookies. Essential cookies are always active. To change your choice: Clear the tb_cookie_consent cookie via your browser settings and reload the page — the banner will reappear and you can make a new selection. To block all cookies: You can configure your browser to block or delete cookies. Note that blocking essential cookies will prevent you from logging in to TradeBooked. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time — for example, if we add new tools or integrations. We will update the effective date above when we do.
