Set up the fuel-aware annual rebook
Wood burns hotter, coal burns dirtier, smokeless burns cleaner. Sweep cadence has to match. TradeBooked sets the next-due per chimney based on the fuel and how often it is burned, then the cron nudges the customer with a one-tap rebook link.
Why fuel-aware matters
A flat-annual sweep cadence is wrong for half your customers. Wood burned heavily and house coal both deposit faster than smokeless or oil, and the trade bodies recommend more frequent sweeping accordingly.
TradeBooked sets a different next-due per chimney based on the fuel and how often it is burned, so each customer is reminded at the right moment for their actual fire.
How the defaults work
Fuel | Default cadence (TradeBooked)
Smokeless fuel | About every 12 months (more often if burned daily)
Wood / logs | Quarterly when burned daily, every 4 months for regular use, annually for occasional use
House coal | Twice a year for regular use, more often when burned daily
Oil | About every 12 months
Gas | About every 12 months

Common questions
What if a customer has multiple chimneys with different fuels?
Each chimney has its own cadence, so the rebook fires at the right moment for each one. A wood-burner due in autumn and an open fire due in spring can both run independently for the same customer.
Can I disable the rebook reminder for a customer?
Yes. Customers can unsubscribe from reminders via the link in any email TradeBooked sends them. Unsubscribed customers are excluded from the cron.
Does the reminder come from me or from TradeBooked?
From your business email, with your branding. TradeBooked is invisible to the customer; the email reads as a personal nudge from you.
What if my judgement on the appliance differs from the default cadence?
Override Next-due on the chimney record. The defaults are a starting point; your direct knowledge of the appliance wins.
What plan do I need?
Fuel-aware rebook is part of the chimney-sweep tools on the Pro and Autopilot plans. The underlying customer-reminder engine is available across the platform.
