Set up rebooking reminders and campaigns

Turn one-off jobs into repeat work. Mark a service as recurring and customers get reminded automatically. On Autopilot, send targeted rebooking campaigns to win back past customers.

What it does

Most trades have work that comes around again, boiler services, annual checks, regular cleans. Rebooking turns those into a default rather than something you have to chase.

There are two parts:

  • A per-service recurring interval (any plan): mark a service as recurring capable and pick how often it should come around. TradeBooked then reminds the customer automatically before they are next due.
  • Rebooking campaigns (Autopilot): write a one-off email offer to a filtered group of past customers, with personalisation and a recipient preview.

What each plan includes

Set a recurring interval (any plan)

Open Settings then Services, expand the service you want to make recurring, and turn on Recurring capable. Choose a recommended interval:

  • 3 months
  • 6 months
  • 9 months
  • 12 months
  • 18 months
  • 24 months
Default reminder timing is 1 month before the next due date. For a 12 month service, that means the customer hears from you at month 11.

Before you start the campaign builder

You will need a TradeBooked account on the Autopilot plan, and at least a few past customers in your directory to send to.

Rebooking campaigns are an Autopilot feature. The setup steps below appear when you are signed in on Autopilot.

Common questions

Do I need Autopilot to remind customers to rebook?

No. The per-service recurring interval and the automatic reminder before the next due date are on every plan from Solo. Autopilot adds the campaign builder for sending custom offers.

When does the recurring reminder go out?

By default, 1 month before the next due date. So for a 12 month service, the customer hears from you at month 11.

Can I personalise a campaign email?

Yes. Use {name} for the customer's first name, {booking_link} for your booking link, and {booking_qr} to include a QR code.

Who is excluded from a campaign?

Customers who have unsubscribed. They are removed from the recipient list automatically.

How do I get customers to rebook me?

Hook the annual-service reflex. Boilers, EICRs, alarms, garden maintenance and similar all need to come around again. Set the recurring interval on the service and TradeBooked nudges the customer at the right moment. On Autopilot, layer rebooking campaigns on top to win back customers who have lapsed.

When should the rebooking reminder fire?

A month before the next due date is the sweet spot. For a 12 month service, the customer hears from you at month 11, with enough notice to plan and book in.

Will customers find this spammy?

Not if the cadence is honest: one nudge before they are due, and an unsubscribed customer is excluded from campaigns automatically. Use rebooking for genuinely recurring work; do not retarget one-off jobs.

Can I segment campaigns by service or job type?

Yes. Target a campaign at All services or one specific service, and pick a "customers who last booked X months ago" window. The recipient count updates before you send.

How is this different from customer reminders?

Customer reminders are pre-appointment nudges (24 hours before, 1 hour before), to stop forgotten or no-show appointments. Rebooking is win-back, contacting customers whose last job is in the rear-view mirror.

What plan do I need?

Per-service recurring intervals are on every plan from Solo. Rebooking campaigns are on Autopilot.
