Use your customer directory and history
Every booking adds the customer to your directory. Sort and search them by recent bookings or total spend, and on Pro keep notes and a full job timeline on every record.
What it does
Your customer directory is the list of everyone who has booked you, with their contact details, the date of their last booking, how many times they have booked, and how much they have spent.
On Pro and above, each customer record also has a History tab (the full timeline of jobs) and a Notes tab (anything you want to remember about them).

Before you start
You will need a TradeBooked account on any plan. Customers are added automatically when they book, so there is nothing to import for new bookings.

Common questions
How are customers added?
Automatically, when they book through your booking page. You do not need to import them separately for new bookings.
What is the difference between Solo and Pro here?
Solo gives you the directory with contact details, last booking, booking count and total spent. Pro adds a History timeline and a Notes tab on every record.
Can I stop a customer booking me?
Yes. Block the customer from their record and they will no longer be able to book. You can unblock them later.
Why do I need a customer list if I already get Checkatrade leads?
Lead-site leads are rented, not owned. Checkatrade memberships run from around £600 to over £1,200 a year plus VAT, and each lead is shared with several other trades. Your own customer directory turns one-off jobs into repeat work without a middleman, on your terms and your branding.
Can I import customers from a spreadsheet?
New customers are added automatically when they book through your TradeBooked page. If you are migrating from another tool and need a bulk import of an existing list, email support@tradebooked.co.uk and we will help you get it in cleanly.
Will I see repeat bookings from the same customer?
Yes. On Pro and above, each customer record has a History tab showing every job you have done for them, with status, totals and dates, so you can spot regulars at a glance.
Can I keep notes against a customer?
Yes, on Pro and above. The Notes tab is free-text per customer, useful for access details, parking, who to ask for, and anything else worth remembering before you arrive.
What happens to my customer data if I cancel?
You can export everything as a portable JSON archive at any time from Settings > Account > GDPR, including the full customer directory. See "Export your data or delete your account".
What plan do I need?
The directory is on every plan from Solo. History and Notes are on Pro and Autopilot.
