Write your booking page tagline
The tagline is the short line sitting under your business name on the booking page. Two minutes of writing here is one of the highest-leverage changes you can make to whether visitors tap to book.
In a hurry? Quick steps
- Settings > Your profile > Booking page text
- Write a tagline up to 300 characters that tells customers what you actually do
- Save tagline
- Check it on your booking page in a private window
What it does
Your tagline is the short line shown under your business name on your public booking page. It is the first sentence a visitor reads and the one that decides whether they keep reading or close the tab.
The default ("Book your appointment online in minutes.") is fine but generic. Replacing it with something specific to you and your work is one of the cheapest conversion wins you have.
What to write
A good tagline does three things in one line:
- Says what you do (the trade and the typical job)
- Says who you do it for (homeowners, landlords, commercial, your patch)
- Gives a reason to book through this page (response time, availability, no call-back needed)
Keep it plain. Keep it short. Up to 300 characters is the cap, but the best ones run to one or two sentences.
How to update it
- Open Settings, then Your profile.
- Open the Booking page text panel.
- Type your tagline in the Booking page tagline field (up to 300 characters).
- Press Save tagline.
- Open your public booking page in a private window to see how it looks to a customer.
What about service descriptions
Each service on your booking page shows its name and price. The service name is itself the description for the customer, so keep names plain and specific: "Boiler service (annual)" beats "Service" every time.
For deeper service-level setup (price ranges, duration, booking questions, add-ons), see "Set per-service pricing and booking add-ons".
Common questions
How long should the tagline be?
One or two short sentences works best. The hard limit is 300 characters, but if you are using all of it, you are probably saying too much.
What is a good example tagline?
Something like: "Gas Safe heating engineer covering Leeds and Wakefield. Same-day boiler call-outs, fixed-price annual services, no surprises on the bill."
Where else does the tagline show?
Just under your business name on your public booking page. It is also picked up by search engines as part of your page description.
Can I rename a service from this panel?
No. Service names are edited per service in Settings > Services. See "Set per-service pricing and booking add-ons".
What plan do I need?
The branded booking page (with the tagline) is on every plan, starting at Solo.
