Use the asset register
For trades that service the same kit again and again, keep a per-customer register: boilers, vehicles, consumer units, alarms. Pre-fills next-service reminders and underpins recurring jobs.
What it does
The asset register holds the kit you service for each customer: a boiler model and serial, a customer's vehicle make / model / VRM, a consumer unit, an alarm panel.
Each asset records what it is, when it was installed, when it was last serviced and when it is next due, plus any notes and a photo if you want one.
Why it is worth using
The big payoff is reminders. Next service due dates feed the customer reminder system, so an annual boiler service or an annual EICR triggers automatically instead of relying on a sticky note.
It also pulls double duty as a record of the kit you have worked on if a customer phones up months later and you need to remember which model is in the cupboard.
Before you start
You will need a TradeBooked account on the Pro or Autopilot plan, and a customer in your directory to attach assets to.

Common questions
Which trades benefit from this most?
Anyone servicing the same physical kit annually or on a cycle: gas engineers (boilers), electricians (consumer units, alarms), mobile mechanics (vehicles), grounds maintenance (recurring contracts).
Does it send the reminders, or do I have to chase?
Next service due drives the existing customer reminder system. If reminders or rebooking are on, the customer is nudged automatically.
What if a customer replaces an asset?
Add the replacement as a fresh asset rather than overwriting the old one. That keeps the history of what was installed and when.
Can I add a photo of the asset?
Yes, one photo per asset. Useful for serial-number plates and consumer-unit shots.
What plan do I need?
The asset register is on the Pro and Autopilot plans.
