What changes when you switch plans
Upgrades take effect immediately and unlock new features straight away. Downgrades and cancellations follow a 30-day notice. Annual billing locks your current rate.
In a hurry? Quick steps
- Settings > Subscription > Change plan
- Upgrades unlock new features immediately
- Cancelling requires 30 days notice (per Terms section 4)
- Annual billing locks your current rate; some Pro/Autopilot features go read-only if you downgrade
Upgrading
Upgrades are immediate. As soon as you change plan, the new features unlock on your account and you can start setting them up. You are billed the new rate from your next invoice, with the change pro-rated for the current period.
There is no risk to upgrading mid-cycle; you do not pay twice for the days already covered.
Downgrading
Downgrades follow the same 30-day notice as cancellation, per Terms section 4. On the effective date, features that are not in your new plan stop being available:
- Some, like Stripe deposits, GoCardless, and Google Calendar sync, switch off but keep your settings, so re-upgrading later picks straight back up
- Others, like compliance badges already shown on your booking page, go read-only and stop displaying
- Customers already booked under your old plan are unaffected
Trial to paid
The trial gives you the combined Solo and Pro feature set so you can test the platform properly. A few paid-only benefits (such as appearing in Google search results, and the accounting integrations) are reserved for paid plans.
When you pick a paid plan at the end of the trial, the features that match that plan stay on, and anything outside that plan switches off following the rules above.
Cancelling
Cancelling follows a 30-day notice, per Terms section 4. Your booking page, integrations and features keep running until the effective date, then your account is moved into the cancelled state.
Annual billing locks your current rate for the year. If TradeBooked raises prices during your annual term, you keep the rate you signed up at until renewal.
How to change plan
- Open Settings, then Subscription.
- Press Change plan.
- Pick Solo, Pro, Autopilot, or Cancel.
- Confirm. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades and cancellations show their effective date.
Common questions
Does an upgrade kick in straight away?
Yes. New features unlock immediately and billing is pro-rated for the current period, so you do not pay twice.
How long does a downgrade take?
30 days, per Terms section 4. You keep your current plan and its features until the effective date.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
Your account moves to the cancelled state on the effective date. Customer records, invoices and bookings remain stored per our privacy policy, and you can request export or deletion at any time.
Does annual billing protect me from price rises?
Yes. Annual billing locks your current rate until renewal. If TradeBooked raises prices in the meantime, you keep your existing rate for the year.
Can I switch back to my old plan later?
Yes. Re-upgrading re-enables features and, where possible, restores their settings (Stripe, GoCardless, calendar sync, and similar pick straight back up).
