Read business analytics and the morning brief

Get the numbers without digging for them: revenue, bookings, average job value, repeat rate and profit, with month-over-month deltas. The morning brief sends a summary as a daily email in your chosen format.

What you get

Two things sit under the same roof here:

  • The Analytics tab on your dashboard, with stat cards and bar charts for revenue, bookings, average job value, repeat customer rate, missed calls, profit and average margin
  • The Morning job brief: a daily email that distils the same numbers into a quick read in the format you prefer

What is in the Analytics tab

You see this month's headline numbers with a delta against last month:

  • Revenue this month (with the up / down arrow vs last month)
  • Bookings this month
  • Average job value (and the number of completed jobs behind it)
  • Repeat customer rate (e.g., 12 of 80 customers)
  • Missed calls this month (and how many auto-replies fired)
  • Profit this month (Autopilot, requires job costing data)
  • Average margin % (Autopilot, requires job costing data)

The bar charts cover revenue over the last 6 months and bookings by day of the week.

Before you start

You will need a TradeBooked account on the Autopilot plan. Profit and margin figures rely on having cost prices on invoice lines, so they only populate once you are filling those in (see "See job costing and margin per job").

Analytics and the morning brief are Autopilot features. The setup steps below appear when you are signed in on Autopilot.

Setup steps are in your dashboard

Common questions

Why is my profit or margin blank?

Profit and margin need cost prices on your invoice lines. Once you add them (catalogue items prefill automatically), the figures populate. See "See job costing and margin per job".

Which format should I pick for the morning brief?

Compact if you only want a quick read on revenue and bookings. Scannable if you like a daily checklist of the headline numbers. Conversational if you prefer it to read like a short note.

Does the brief replace Analytics?

No, it complements it. The brief gives you the daily nudge; Analytics is the deeper view when you want to dig in.

What plan do I need?

Business analytics and the morning job brief are on the Autopilot plan.
